From the outset, I made it clear to my son that I would not be the one to teach him how to drive. Instead, I would supervise him as he practiced what he learned from a professional. Looking for someone to collaborate with us in helping our son earn his P’s, we were referred to John. We wanted an instructor who would work in partnership with us for the best possible outcome. John proved to be an excellent choice. He thoroughly taught our son the essential driving skills needed to transition confidently into practicing with me. Whenever possible, John provided valuable feedback that I could use while supervising my son’s driving. John informed me when he felt our son was ready to focus on accumulating practice hours. This final stage was also a great experience, with John continuing to offer helpful feedback, often even after lessons had ended. As someone with bad anxiety and autism. I will always recommend John. He was amazing with helping with anxiety and making me feel comfortable. The first few lessons I was able to bring a support worker until I was comfortable enough to drive alone with him. He is all about helping any type of driver making them comfortable. I had 2 different instructors before John and I definitely think his insight and teaching was the most helpful and effective. I had nearly 100 hours before my first lesson but John was quick to recognise and help me fix the errors I had gotten used to doing for a while. From the first booking, John’s communication was excellent. He is great at showing these young drivers how to drive and undertake all the technical manoeuvres correctly but more importantly safely. His focus is not about teaching them to pass a test but how to be a safe and confident driver.

My daughter’s test was scheduled on a very rainy day and John took the time to call in the morning to calm her nerves given the weather conditions. This was very much appreciated! And she passed with zero errors!!
